When it is subjected to shock and vibration, it is easy to crack and spalling. Ship wall steel often less than half a year due to water corrosion and corrosion. The water is polluted. Therefore, beginning in the late 1940s and 1950s, paint was gradually used to replace the method of applying cement slurry, and most of the water tanks of ships were still protected by the paint.
